Στις αρχές του 20ου αιώνα, στο νησί Λα Ρεϋνιόν, πέντε έφηβοι καλών οικογενειών, ερωτευμένοι με τον αποκρυφισμό, διαπράττουν ένα άγριο έγκλημα. Ένας Ολλανδός καπετάνιος τους παρασέρνει σε μία καταπιεστική κρουαζιέρα σε ένα στοιχειωμένο, ερειπωμένο ιστιοφόρο. Εξαντλημένα από τις μεθόδους του Καπετάνιου, τα πέντε αγόρια ετοιμάζουν ανταρσία. Το λιμάνι τους είναι ένα υπερφυσικό νησί με πλούσια βλάστηση και μαγευτικές δυνάμεις που κρύβει ένα ανησυχητικό μυστικό.
At the beginning of the 20th century, on the island of La Réunion, five adolescents of good families enamoured with the occult, commit a savage crime. A Dutch Captain takes them in charge for a repressive cruise on a haunted, dilapidated sailboat. Exhausted by the Captain’s methods, the five boys prepare to mutiny. Their port of call is a supernatural island with luxuriant vegetation and bewitching powers that holds a disturbing secret.

Bertrand Mandico (1971, Τουλούζη) αποφοίτησε από το πρόγραμμα σκηνοθεσίας της σχολής κινουμένων σχεδίων Gobelins στο Παρίσι. Με τα χρόνια, ο Bertrand έχει καλλιεργήσει μια μοναδική αισθητική και μια λάμψη για σκοτεινό χιούμορ που αντιπαραθέτει μακάβρια στοιχεία και μπουρλέσκ. Έχει εμπλουτίσει τις κινηματογραφικές του σπουδές με διάφορες εκδόσεις σταθερής μορφής, φωτογραφία, κολάζ και σχέδια. Ο Μπέρτραντ έχει επίσης εργαστεί για την προώθηση ξεχασμένων ή υποτιμημένων κινηματογραφιστών (προγραμμάτισε μια αναδρομική έκθεση του Walerian Borowczyk στη Βαρσοβία). Οι οπτικοακουστικές του δημιουργίες (συνολικά 40 ταινίες μικρού μήκους, τηλεοπτικές διαφημίσεις και μουσικές ταινίες) έχουν βραβευτεί με διάφορα βραβεία. Η πρώτη του μικρού μήκους ταινία THE BLUE HORSE RIDER κέρδισε το Βραβείο Annecy το 1998.
Bertrand Mandico (1971, Toulouse) graduated from the film directing programme at the Gobelins animation school in Paris. Over the years, Bertrand has cultivated a unique aesthetic and a flare for dark humour that juxtaposes macabre elements and burlesque. He has enriched his cinematic studies with various still format publications, photography, collage and drawings. Bertrand has also worked on promoting forgotten or underappreciated filmmakers (he programmed a Walerian Borowczyk retrospective in Warsaw). His audiovisual creations (a total of 40 short films, TV-commercials and musical films) have been awarded various prizes. His first short film THE BLUE HORSE RIDER won the Annecy Prize Grant in 1998.
